Dr. Barbara Roberts, the first woman cardiologist in Rhode Island, will discuss her recently released memoir, The Doctor Broad: A Mafia Love Story. This tale of motherhood, political activism, controversy, heartbreak and survival traces one woman’s trajectory against the backdrop of America’s 20th century upheavals.
