The Redwood is pleased to welcome the Rhode Island Society Sons of the Revolution for the Annual Washington Salute. Staged on Washington’s 290th birthday, it will include greetings by Redwood’s Executive Director, Benedict Leca, and brief remarks by Roy D. Lauth, President of the Rhode Island Society Sons of the Revolution. The Artillery Company of Newport, the oldest military unit in the United States operating under its original charter of 1741 will present colors and a musket salute. All are welcome.
