Sounds From The Big Chair: Melissa Chaplin Family

August 12, 2021, 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm

Raised on Aquidneck Island means inspired by all things water. Melissa Chaplin started writing songs before she was ten and never stopped. Her band/family currently consists of Nick Krol (guitar/fedal steel) and Mikel Arambarri (Bass). Their debut EP is called “Siren” and is available for streaming.

Chaplin uses her voice and thoughtful personal lyrics to connect with listeners. She’s been singing since she can remember and has studied different genres:from childhood voice lessons to a music degree with a classical voice concentration. She is inspired by Fiona Apple, Fleetwood Mac, St. Vincent, Amy Winehouse and her bandmates.
