Bound Manuscripts

The Bound Manuscripts held at the Redwood Library are some of our most valuable treasures. From items of local interest, such as Nailer Tom’s Diary, to works of art, as in our illuminated Book of Hours, our Bound Manuscripts are unique, varied and beautiful. These treasures were collected and given to the Redwood Library throughout its history for safekeeping and it is thanks to our many loyal collectors and donors that we are able to make these pieces of history available today.

Finding aids for all processed collections can be found online via RIAMCO: Rhode Island Archival and Manuscript Collections Online,  a consortium in which the Redwood Library participates, and a complete listing of collections can be found here: Archival & Manuscript Collections. More detailed information on our Bound Manuscripts is available by reference appointment.
