Over 25 million Americans have explored the wooden decks of Mayflower II over the last 60 or so years. Millions more have marveled via television and film at this beautiful sailing ship which seems to touch a nerve in all who see her. But how many people know the true story of Mayflower II ?

In another of the Redwood’s series of virtual talks Randal Charlton, author of The Wicked Pilgrim, will reveal the myths and mysteries surrounding the ship that has just been designated as a national treasure. How did the ship come into American ownership? What unheralded Englishman was the driving force behind the ship’s existence and how did he get the support of four American presidents and a world famous English prime minister?

Charlton will describe important untold messages and lessons that Mayflower II holds for Americans today including an incredible expression of gratitude to the entire nation … something to celebrate as Thanksgiving approaches in this difficult year.
