Filmmakers Michael Maglaras and Terri Templeton will screen an excerpt from their latest documentary film “Glorious Morning: A Revolution Revealed.” The excerpt “The Faces of Revolution” features the painting of Gilbert Stuart and was shot entirely at The Redwood.
Filmmaker Michael Maglaras, founder of 217 Films, is the only living filmmaker in America who has been honored with eight individual film premieres at the National Gallery in Washington, D.C., as well as an invitation to screen one of his films at the U.S. House of Representatives. Michael Maglaras has pioneered the concept of the “essay in film” – a combination of filmmaking and storytelling, incorporating visual imagery, story-like narrative detail, and deep personal involvement with each subject.
A filmmaker dedicated to telling the story of America’s cultural heritage and creative excellence, Maglaras and his executive producer and artistic partner Terri Templeton have together been celebrating America for more than 23 years through their creative film work dedicated to telling the artistic and cultural story of our country.
