The Redwood Library book collection holds over 200,000 volumes, as well as manuscripts, maps, photos, and art works. Within the collection there are many materials relating to architecture and architectural design. These architectural works range in subject from the influence of European design in America to the mathematics involved in building houses. The works include books of local, regional, and international interest and cover the 17th to the 21st centuries.
A description of these diverse works was compiled and published in 2010 with funding from the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities. A full pdf of the guide is attached below.
