Yes!!!
I would love to donate to the Redwood Library's 2010 Annual Fund online!
Dear Friends,
Maybe it’s the centuries-old books—standing like sentinels on their original shelves—that give Redwood Library its extraordinary “sense of place.” Or the steadfast Claggett clock, chiming the hour since 1728.
But whatever makes The Redwood special for you, each literary and cultural treasure is yours to enjoy—not tucked away in a museum—but as a vital part of a working, state of the art library right here in Newport.
I think you’ll agree that it’s worth protecting... so I’ll get straight to the point.
To put it plainly, The Redwood Library—your library—needs you now.
Without your help...without a robust Annual Fund... more cuts will follow: lights, phone lines, our low membership fees, the climate-control system protecting The Redwood’s collection of priceless antique books, sculptures and master paintings.
...Incredibly, nearly two out of every ten dollars in The Redwood’s yearly operating budget comes from gifts like yours to the Annual Fund.
It’s critical financial support that builds confidence for long-term major fundraising—and helps make possible so many of the membership benefits you enjoy. Being a valued member of our Redwood Family means you can:
Especially in these topsy-turvy times, it isn’t easy to ask. But in times like these, our common spirit—the spirit of Redwood Library—burns brighter than ever, as it has for nearly three hundred years.
That’s why our gratitude for your generous gifts of the past—and our faith in you for the future—runs so deep.
We deeply appreciate any amount you can give
Thank you in advance for your generosity and your stewardship, on behalf of the staff and the Board of Directors, and from all of us here at Redwood Library.
With our thanks and warmest wishes,
