Tours

When

Guided tours of Redwood Library are available by appointment. These tours are free of charge, though a donation is welcome. Please call 401-847-0292 to schedule a tour of the Redwood.  Materials are available at the Reference Desk for a self-guided tour.  (For group tours, please see details below.)

Content

Tours by appointment are conducted by staff members and/or volunteer docents.  Tours last approximately half an hour. To accommodate the interests of specific groups, tours can also be tailored to focus on various aspects of the Library, such as art, literature, history, architecture, and Special Collections.

Who

Members and visitors are welcome to call to schedule a tour during regularly scheduled hours of operation. A few days prior to a scheduled tour, telephone confirmation by the tour groups would be appreciated.

Group Tours

Group tours are required to make reservations. For groups, a $100 donation is requested for the basic tour, which includes the history of the library and a tour of the building. For a tour tailored to a specific interest, a donation of $150.00 is requested.
